This course presents basic concepts of plane analytical geometry and calculus. Topics include differentiation and integration of algebraic, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions with emphasis on technical applications; maximum and minimum word problems; related rate; and applications of the integral to include area and volume. The course may be taken by DVD with department permission. Students who have shown exceptional mathematical ability may be placed into Calculus as their initial mathematics course at Vermont Tech. If this course is completed successfully, then prior requisite courses for Calculus will be waived.
